"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6 ESV

We believe that one of the church's most important responsibilities is to teach and care for the children that God has placed in our lives. Our high school ministry seeks to live this out towards CPC's high school students and their families. Below you'll find more information about our weekly youth group, our leaders, our upcoming events, and other helpful resources.

YOUTH GROUP

Every week on Monday from 7-8:30 PM, we gather together to play some games, spend quality time together, and to study God's Word. All are welcome!

During our Spring 2025 semester, we're going to be in a series called "Disciples" where we'll look at what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and how that identity sets us apart in difficult and joyful ways.

Each week, one person provides snacks for the group. If you'd like to sign up to provide snacks for the group, you can do so by pressing the button below.

Kyle.jpg

Kyle Hansen

Kyle learns and teaches math as a grad student at UCSB. He consistently enjoys running, biking, and swimming, as well as baking delicious treats for his friend. He sings with the Santa Barbara City College Quire of Voyces, and will probably pick up a new hobby within the next month, only to set it down two months later.

Sophia.jpeg

Sophia Manos

Sophia enjoys playing piano/guitar and going on long walks on the beach with her husband, Zachary Manos, and dog Davey. Sophia loves serving at CPC with the worship team and her husband. She also loves visiting family, camping, watching whatever new Star Wars content is out there, reading historical fiction and fantasy novels, and of course a good romantic comedy! Professionally, her passion lies in the sustainable management of fisheries and sediment within our local watershed.

Daniel.jpg

Daniel Schirmer

Daniel and his wife Heather have been actively volunteering with the CPC Youth Group since Autumn 2022. In his free time he enjoys running, cycling, reading, writing, watching movies, and being the #1 Memphis Grizzlies fan in Santa Barbara.
